South Carolina School Counselor Association (SCSCA)

It is important that professionals who affiliate with SCCA also join and become active in those divisions and interest groups that are closely allied with their work settings. SCCA currently collects dues for five divisions. One of these divisions is the South Carolina School Counselor Association, which works incessantly to define and advance the role of the school counselor at all educational levels, elementary through post-secondary. Professional school counselors' adherence to standards set by the State Department of Education's Comprehensive Counseling Program and relative laws is imperative. Role description of the professional school counselor continues to be the focus along with EEDA mandates. SCSCA's 2010-11 Governing Board and Committee Members follow.
